(Note: this is a work in progress that is not yet completed)

These instructions are designed to assist a problem that occurs specifically with the MapMaster Interactive CD-ROM, but it might also be applicable to similar products.

Users attempting to run MapMaster for the first time will, when first attempting to access a specific topic, can expect to receive the following error message from the web-browser:

If this happens, click on the Settings button. Another window will open, as shown below:

Click on “Edit Locations”. This is a pulldown menu on the right side of the browser window. This will open the pulldown menu, as shown below:

Select the “Add Location” option, and the following will appear:

Click on the button “Browse for Folder”. This will cause the following window will appear:

Click on the CD-ROM icon (in this case, it’s called “MapMaster”), and then click on “Select”, as shown below:

If successful, the following window should then appear:

Quit out of the web browser, and these settings should remain in place.

This should only have to be done once, per user, per program. Subsequent sessions of MapMaster for the user, for example, should not require that these steps be taken again.
