Some web pages, programs, and web-based applications (e.g. PowerSchool) allow you to click on an email address or name and begin writing an email message. Since we use web-based email programs (e.g. SquirrelMail) this is typically difficult to do.
Thanks to a program named Yahoo!Mailer, you can use these links with SquirrelMail.
Note: These links are called “mailto:” links, because they are built with the pattern “mailto:name@example.com”.
